Staff Process Development Engineer (Wage Offer: $163,000/yr): Lead process development for the manufacturing of Twelve’s membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) for our CO2 electrolyzers. Continuously analyze process and quality data for opportunities to improve product yield, throughput, cost, and manufacturability. Drive project for the design, installation, and validation of a pilot-scale coating line to scale and uniform the coating process that manufactures the MEAs. Collaborate with the fabrication, engineering, characterization, techno-economic analysts, and quality development teams. Create and maintain the documentation of the coating process for MEA fabrication for a seamless transfer to the manufacturing team. Develop novel polymer membrane coating technologies for high-throughput membrane manufacturing. Execute polymer synthesis and dissolution as well as aid in scale-up of dissolution processes. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field. 2 years of experience as a Process Development Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer, or a related occupation. SPECIAL SKILLS: Must have: 1. Experience developing or optimizing a pilot-scale manufacturing process for an electronic device, an electrochemical device, or a medical device. 2. Experience transferring product development processes from pilot to manufacturing and production, including training operators. 3. Experience documenting processes by crafting PFDs, PFMEAs, SOPs. 4. Experience with data analysis using statistics, including experience with Six Sigma Methodology and Statistical Process Control (SPC). 5. Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE).
