Job description
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers. This role focuses on outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up to build a strong sales pipeline for the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential clients through CRM, databases, LinkedIn, and other tools
- Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and messaging platforms
- Respond to inbound leads in a timely and professional manner
- Qualify prospects based on needs, budget, authority, and timeline (BANT or similar framework)
- Schedule meetings and demos for Account Executives or Sales Managers
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the CRM system
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to improve lead quality and conversion rates
- Meet or exceed monthly targets for calls, emails, and qualified meetings booked
Requirements
3+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or lead generation (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with cold calling and outbound outreach
- Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated
- Basic understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
