In this role, you’ll work hands-on with advanced composites, polymers, ceramics, and coings to engineer high-performance products th perform under the most demanding conditions.
Merial Science Engineer – Wh You’ll Do
Research, develop, and optimize advanced insulion and composite merials.
Conduct merial characterizion testing (thermal conductivity, tensile/tear, flammability, abrasion, chemical compibility, acoustic performance).
Partner with R&D and manufacturing to scale lab formulions into full production.
Evalue and implement new raw merials, coings, and fire-retardant technologies.
Design and execute experiments, analyze da, and prepare reports validing product performance.
Support customer-specific projects for aerospace and industrial OEM applicions.
Collabore with cross-functional teams to solve production challenges and drive cost-effective improvements.
Ensure compliance with FAA, NFPA, ISO, AS9100/IA9100, and ASTM standards.
Merial Science Engineer – Wh You Bring
B.S. or M.S. in Merials Science, Merials Engineering, or reled field.
3+ years of experience in merials R&D, composites, or insulion manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with textile-based composites, ceramic fibers, or refractory merials.
Proficiency in thermal/mechanical testing methods and da analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills, with proven ability to collabore cross-functionally.
Excellent written and verbal communicion skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-engineers.
Preferred Background & Skills
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial insulion/fireproofing.
Familiarity with advanced coing technologies and polymer formulions.
Knowledge of FEA/CFD thermal analysis tools.
Background with textile processing (weaving, automed sewing, CNC textile cutting, and coings).
