Opportunity to train other lab personnel Lab Technician Location: Chandler, Arizona (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract to Perm Role Overview An opportunity is available for a Lab Technician with a material science company. This role involves performing quality assurance on raw materials and finished products, blending experimental mixtures, and conducting various lab tests. The position requires a quality-minded, hardworking individual with strong communication skills who can contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Key Responsibilities Perform Quality Assurance testing and evaluations on raw materials and finished products. Prepare and issue reports to company personnel. Maintain accurate records of Quality Assurance and experimental results. Develop a moderate familiarity with raw material and finished product specifications. Perform testing functions such as tensile, penetration, bending, and flexibility. Assist with the training of other lab personnel. Conduct experimental mixing and testing of building products. Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition. Safely lift 50 pounds a few times per day. Work overtime when required (this is rare). Required Qualifications Experience: Experience in a lab setting is preferred, with a background in materials science considered beneficial. Recent AAS/BS graduates are also considered. Skills: Candidates must be quality-minded, organized, and possess the ability to take feedback constructively. Professionalism, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential. The role involves physical testing such as viscosity, Instron, melt temperature, and flow rates.
