Perform field inspections and coordinate corrective solutions FIELD ENGINEER – NYC CONSTRUCTION Starting Salary: $108,000 Per Year We are seeking a full-time Field Engineer with at least three years of NYC construction experience. A valid New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil or structural engineering is required. This is a hands-on position consisting of approximately: 80% fieldwork 20% office work KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Confirm construction is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable NYC requirements. Train and instruct field personnel in proper construction methods, workmanship, and job-site safety. Correct unsafe practices, improper installation methods, and deficient workmanship. Perform field inspections and document construction progress. Identify field conflicts and coordinate practical corrective solutions. Maintain accurate inventory records for materials, tools, and equipment. Confirm required materials are ordered, received, properly stored, and available when needed. Review drawings and prepare basic construction sketches, details, markups, and as-built drawings. Maintain daily reports, photographs, inspection records, and open-item lists. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and engineers. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Valid New York State Professional Engineer license in civil or structural engineering. Minimum three years of construction experience in New York City.
