Summary: Seeking a Contract Project Architect to oversee timely and profitable completion of architectural projects, coordinating with consultants and clients while ensuring compliance with DSA regulations. Ensure project conformity to DSA regulations CONTRACT position for a project architect to help small architectural firm with school projects. New septic systems, remodel bathrooms, paint schools, install fire suppresion, plan solar, install bleachers, modular buildings and similar projects. Al work involves ADA. These projects are located all over northern California, from northern Sacramento County up to Susanville area. Most work is in and around Butte County. Take a look at our website to get a feel for our work. Requirements: Must be a licensed architect. Must have the ability to travel at your own expense to perform on-site work as needed. Must have extensive experience with DSA. This is a contract position for a Project Architect. Requires a current California Architect License. Requires experience with K12 education projects and DSA. Work remotely with occasional site visits in person in northern California. The Project Architect is in charge of timely and profitable completion of a project. Coordinate with other professional consultants (civil, electrical, mechanical etc), consult with clients and be responsible for the overall development and implementation of the architectural project. Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience, be comfortable with construction administration, developing projects in Revit and/or AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and hold an experienced understanding of building codes, zoning, and planning regulations. Candidates must produce fully coordinated set of drawings and lead draftspersons to do so. The architect is responsible to the school board and to DSA to see that the completed work conforms in every material respect to DSA regulations. Ability to build rapport and working relationship with DSA personnel. Excellent in-person communication skills in working with clients, other consultants, building officials, DSA and others. Contract Project Architect will set own proposal and fees. Proposals must include necessary drafting either by candidate or hired draftsperson. Requires carrying your own E&O insurance.
