




Type: Part-Time, Project-Based Contract Location: Cordova, TN (Flexible/Hybrid Work) Compensation: Hourly Rate or Project Driven Project Overview A growing commercial development company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented architecture student (or recent graduate) for a crucial part-time contract role. You will be assisting the General Contractor and Ownership team on their developments. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience in commercial site planning, facilities design, and as-built documentation—skills that are essential for any aspiring architect. The Role: Architecture Student / Draftsman We are looking for someone to primarily assist with the following tasks: 1. "As-Built" Documentation: Creating and revising accurate drawings of existing site infrastructure and structures (e.g., the existing clubhouse and utilities) that will be integrated into the new park design. 2. Conceptual and Schematic Drafting: Translating high-level design concepts into clean, professional CAD drawings using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.). 3. Redline Updates: Performing revisions and updating drawing sets quickly based on feedback from the GC and civil engineers. 4. Permitting Support: Assisting the project manager in organizing and preparing drawing packages for local permit submission to Shelby County/Cordova authorities. 5. Survey skills using total station, GPS mapping a plus What We're Looking For • Currently enrolled in an Accredited Architecture, Architectural Technology, or Civil Engineering program (or recently graduated). • High proficiency in AutoCAD is MANDATORY. Proficiency in Revit is a strong plus. • Strong understanding of architectural drafting conventions and layering standards. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. • Must be able to provide your own laptop and necessary software for part-time work. • Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to project deadlines.
