Primarily interested in skilled subcontractors who seek partnership with reliable workload but will consider full/part time. Need insurance and own tools. The ideal candidates are well organized and take great pride in their work. They possess a strong work ethic and communication abilities, as well as a keen eye for detail. They must have his/her own transportation and tools and are willing to travel within the Delaware County, Chester County and Montgomery county areas. They are skilled painters and possess a solid working knowledge of best practices with painting, finishing drywall/ wood work loose ends (such as baseboards). Essential Duties & Responsibilities Review work orders, prints and/or sketches for painting and finishing projects. Estimate paint, stain, finishing materials, and tools or equipment needed. Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting or finishing (cleaning, sanding, patching, priming). Apply paint, stain, sealants, and other finishes to surfaces such as walls, ceilings, trim, doors, windows, and cabinetry. Perform drywall repair and finishing, including taping, mudding, and sanding for paint readiness. Match and mix paint colors to specifications. Apply specialty finishes (e.g., faux finishes, texturing, or protective coatings) as required. Maintain brushes, rollers, sprayers, and finishing tools in good working order. Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and protected from damage. Maintain a safe, tidy job site at all times. Perform other related painting/finishing duties as required. Job Requirements Include: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Completion of formal trade school or apprenticeship program in painting/finishing is a plus. Must own reliable transportation. Must complete an acceptable background check. Must own painting and finishing tools. Ability to read blueprints and follow direction. Ability to create and verify material take-offs is a plus. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of proper painting, staining, and finishing techniques. Understanding of surface preparation, finishing products, and drying/curing times. Ability to communicate with clients in a professional manner. Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team. Ability to determine the kind of tools and materials required for each assignment. Strong attention to detail, professional appearance, and punctuality. A positive attitude and strong work ethic. Knowledge of drywall repair, color matching, spraying, and specialty coatings is a plus.
