I am looking for a dependable assistant to help with residential repairs and renovation projects on properties I own and manage. No prior construction experience is required. If you are mechanically inclined, willing to work hard, and eager to learn, I will train you. **This position is intended for someone who wants to build real skills in the trades and eventually grow into higher responsibility or even run their own projects.** **Skills You Will Learn** • Installing doors, windows, siding, and roofing • Running plumbing and electrical lines • Replacing furnaces and water heaters • Framing, drywall, and basic construction • General repair and troubleshooting **What I Am Looking For** • Fast learner with good mechanical aptitude • Reliable transportation • Available during the full workday with no conflicting commitments • Comfortable with ladders, rooftops, and physical work • Ability to use basic tools and read a tape measure • Someone who shows up on time and takes pride in doing quality work • Located in or near the Milwaukee or Racine area **Schedule and Pay** • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM • Starting pay $18 per hour with potential increases based on performance • Paid weekly with a one week holdback • Independent contractor position (no taxes withheld) Several former assistants have gone on to start their own contracting businesses.
