As a Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing vehicles and equipment that support daily operations and essential services. Corridor Energy Cooperative is currently seeking a Mechanic at our North Liberty Operation Center (835 W. 240th Street, North Liberty, Iowa 52317)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains all vehicles, generating units and other mechanical equipment by performing regular, preventative maintenance and service in accordance with operating manuals.
Conducts all inspections to remain in compliance with DOT regulations.
Assures vehicle maintenance history is complete and up to date.
Performs minor fender and body repairs and welding jobs as necessary.
Other related duties as assigned
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school in a directly related field or 4-year related experience
Class A CDL
Must also possess the following knowledge and experience:
Must be able to diagnose and repair equipment and vehicles
Ability to operate powered industrial equipment, such as forklift and man lift
Knowledge of electronics and hydraulics and diesel and gasoline engines
