Be part of a team-oriented, fast-paced work setting Title: General Labor Location: Monroe, New Jersey Pay Rate: 2nd shift; $17.50 per hour Shifts: 2nd shift: 3pm to 12am Please note all positions are temporary to permanent. About Our Client: We are a global distributor of aftermarket truck and trailer parts. We sell to regional warehouse distributors and repair shops throughout the USA and other countries. We also manufacture most of our components. Position Characteristics: Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with co-workers, clients and visitors; cultural sensitivity and ability to relate well and effectively in diverse workplace and with a diverse client population. Duties and Responsibilities: • Will be asked to move/stack pallets • Will be asked to move/stack corrugated to designated areas within the warehouse. • Will be asked to move picking carts/cages to designated areas. • Will be asked to check an order for accuracy of items picked and quantity. • Will be asked to unpack a cart and pack product in corrugated boxes/creates and seal boxes with tape, banding straps and shrink wrap. • Will be asked to move/stack corrugated to designated areas within the warehouse. • Will be asked to place labels/stickers on cartons/pallets. • Will be asked to load/unload trucks or containers • Will be asked to consolidate products in cages Desired Skills and Qualifications The ideal candidate for the role of General Labor would have the following background & skills: • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent • Ability to read, write and count Skills and Qualifications: • Basic reading and writing • Basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division) • Communication skills • Ability to work under pressure • Able to lift 50 lbs. Heavy lifting is required and repetitive. Loading and unloading of truck parts. • Able to stand for long periods of time • Able to use hands and fingers • Able to bend, stretch and reach • Able to work in a Team environment • Attention to detail is required to ensure the correct item is picked, labeled and properly packed • Demonstrate reliable attendance and willingness to learn • To be flexible, open-minded and operate in a fast-paced environment Work is generally routine; most tasks are well defined, but with considerable variation; some phases of the work are less well defined and may require independent action.
