We strongly believe in recruiting top talent and creing a diverse and inclusive work clime and culture all levels of our organizion.  The Biomedical Technician is responsible for overseeing the overall operional condition, maintenance and repair of all wer trement equipment, all medical equipment and mechanical/electrical systems to ensure pient safety and the safety of all staff opering such equipment for their assigned clinic(s). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties and tasks may be assigned.  Demonstre effective use of supplies and staff labor hours. Assist with purchasing as needed: place orders, perform weekly and month end inventory counts. Be familiar with the overall procedures used in Inventory Control (FIFO) and assist in the documention and control of excess inventory. Perform duties as assigned to meet the pient care or operional needs of the clinic. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment as recommended by the manufacturer. Repair, calibre, test, clean and disinfect dialysis machines, wer distribution loop and RO's according to protocol. Perform wer quality checks to include but not limited to: free chlorine, total chlorine, and wer hardness testing. Perform safety checks and tests on all pretrement wer equipment including but not limited to carbon tanks, wer softeners, RO units, UV lamps and ultrafilters. Collect samples of RO wer and dialyse for microbiology testing according to protocol. Collect wer samples for AAMI analysis testing according to protocol. Disinfection of central bicarbone system and mixing tank according to protocol. Disinfection of RO, distribution system, and hemodialysis machines according to protocol. Perform duties all times within limitions established by and in accordance with company policy and procedures, applicable ste and federal laws and regulions. Perform electrical safety on dialysis machines and reled equipment. Be familiar with instruction manuals and operion for equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendions. Be capable of starting up and shutting down facility's equipment if necessary. Maintain established preventive maintenance programs and required support documention. Maintain accure maintenance records for the facility's equipment. Have knowledge of the function and safe operion of wer trement equipment and reled mechanical and electrical systems. Address physical environment issues which could impact pient and staff safety. Mix bicarbone solution according to protocol. Mix acid concentre solution according to protocol. Assist in receiving, storing and stocking of supplies. Be familiar with all emergency equipment and emergency operional procedures. Use approprie safety measures including personal protective equipment as necessary. Be familiar with OSHA regulions. Upde Merial Safety Da Sheets (MSDS) as required. Be aware of all contracts and contacts necessary for the emergency repair of the clinic's equipment and mechanical systems. Obtain quotes from reputable and approved contractors as needed to address physical environment issues. Present technical summaries in QAPI meetings. Maintain collaborive working relionship with Administror(s). Partner with Administror(s) to ensure clinic needs are met. Actively promote GUEST customer service standards; develop effective relionships all levels of the organizion. Respond effectively to inquiries or concerns. Participe in staff meetings as required. Attend in-service and continuing educion offerings in compliance with company policy and procedure. Complete initial and annual technical training on clinical staff as required. Instruct staff in use and care of equipment and answer questions. Participe in team concepts and promote a team effort.   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty sisfactorily. Requirements include: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver' license in applicable ste. License must be maintained as current, without restrictions and good driving record. Previous dialysis, hospital, or medical experience preferred. Confirmion of ability to distinguish all primary colors. Ability to react and perform under stress and in emergency situions. Ability to communice and interface effectively with others. Demonstred working knowledge of the English language and ability to communice verbally and in writing.
