Position Overview:
Provide direct care and support to juveniles in custody at Youth Development Centers and Juvenile Detention Centers. Assist nursing staff in delivering quality healthcare while ensuring residents' daily living needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver quality nursing care to juvenile residents
Administer medications when required and permitted
Assist with daily living activities and personal care
Support nursing staff in clinical operations
Document care activities accurately
Maintain safe and therapeutic environment
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Completion of NC-approved CNA II training program.
Licensure: Active CNA I and CNA II certifications in North Carolina; Current CPR certification.
Experience: 1+ year experience preferred; Previous work with children with critical needs (highly valued).
Technical Skills: Medication administration (where permitted), daily living assistance, clinical support.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, organizational abilities; Independent problem-solving.
