Position Overview As a Software Test Engineer, you will oversee definition, design and execution of comprehensive test stregies to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will collabore closely with developers to identify, report and troubleshoot bugs while contributing to an automed testing framework initiives. This role is critical to ensuring the successful implemention of advanced simulion technologies th enhance Navy training capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Technical Activities: Develop test plans and schedules capturing stregy to ensure quality assurance of our visual simulion software product line. Develop test procedures providing traceability to system requirements. Genere test reports and document issue artifacts for correction by our development teams. Review system requirements holistically to ensure compliance as components are modernized and tactical systems are upgraded. Collaborion and Coordinion: Coordine with internal and external teams to identify optimal test stregies throughout each software development release cycle. Travel to integrion and testing sites, as well as fielded trainer locions, to support installion, testing, and training events (estimed travel: 10%). Required Educion Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science, or experience in lieu of a degree. Required Experience U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Interim Secret security clearance required to begin employment. At least 5 years of experience in software testing. Experience testing in Agile and Werfall methodologies. Comfortable working in Linux and/or Windows environments. Strong analytical, organizional, and communicion skills. Proactive mindset with the ability to influence complex projects and products. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies: automed/manual testing, system, regression, UAT. Desired Experience Experience with engineering tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and Xray. Keen eye for identifying edge cases and potential vulnerabilities Experience with automed testing tools. Experience with Jenkins pipelines, containerized test environments, and automed regression runs.
