Summary: Sunland Truss Company is seeking a full-time Truss Designer responsible for producing accurate truss designs, layouts, and shop drawings for residential and commercial projects. Highlights: 1. Design roof and floor truss systems using industry software 2. Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams 3. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and project requirements Sunland Truss Company is seeking a full-time Truss Designer with experience in " Mitek" wood truss systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate truss designs, layouts, and shop drawings for residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities Design roof and floor truss systems using industry software Prepare truss shop drawings and placement/layout plans Review and interpret architectural and structural plans Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and project requirements Requirements Experience with MiTek software Ability to generate truss layouts and engineering packages Strong understanding of construction drawings Attention to detail and accuracy Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Truss design experience required – please apply only if qualified
