Leidos is seeking a talented Software Engineer to help lead the development of next-generion software capabilities within our dynamic research and development environment. In this role, you’ll design and deliver innovive Knowledge Management solutions th power da-driven decision-making across critical nional security missions. You’ll work the intersection of da engineering, AI, and full-stack development, building scalable plforms th transform complex da into actionable insights. Wh You’ll Do Design and develop Knowledge Management systems, including da pipelines, ontologies, and AI-enabled plforms Build modern web applicions (front-end and back-end) to support search, discovery, and analysis Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and da lake architectures Integre AI/ML capabilities, including Generive AI and LLM APIs Collabore across teams to gher requirements and deliver scalable, mission-focused solutions Support da analysis, modeling, simulion, and visualizion efforts Ensure software quality through testing, validion, and performance optimizion Deploy solutions in secure, cloud-based, and containerized environments Wh You Bring Experience in software development and system design, with a strong foundion in computer science principles Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, R, or JavaScript/TypeScript Experience building applicions using React or Angular, and back-end frameworks such as FastAPI Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL dabases Working knowledge of cloud plforms (preferably AWS) and containerizion technologies (e.g., Docker) Experience with da pipelines, ETL processes, and da management systems Exposure to Generive AI / LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock) Understanding of software testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Playwright, Jest) Ability to work in Linux/Unix and Windows environments Strong communicion skills and experience collaboring with technical and non-technical stakeholders Basic Qualificions Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Informion Systems, Systems Engineering, or a reled field Minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience Interest in supporting Intelligence Community and DoD missions U.S. Citizenship required Preferred Qualificions Advanced degree (MS) in a relevant technical field Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, and AWS Bedrock Familiarity with DTRA R&D or Combant Command environments Experience integring COTS/GOTS tools, including 3D modeling, simulion, or visualizion plforms Clearance Requirements Must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph Active TS/SCI or Top Secret clearance with current SSBI strongly preferred Wh Sets You Apart Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments Able to independently research and implement innovive solutions Effective collaboror who thrives both independently and on teams Strong technical writing and presention skills Why Leidos?
