Apply Now Description The Electronic Warfare Division of Leidos is looking for a FPGA DSP Firmware Engineer to work with a multi-disciplined design team (electrical engineers, systems engineers, scientists, etc) to design, develop, simule, and integre challenging DSP FPGA designs and RF sensor systems based on given program requirements.  The successful candide will have a strong background in firmware design, the ability to transle MATLAB designs into RTL and incorpore client feedback into firmware revisions.  This role will also support integrion, test, and verificion in the final products.   Primary Responsibilities •    Design, integre and test challenging DSP FPGA designs for EW sensor systems. •    Evalue a project’s firmware needs, designing a firmware solution to meet project needs and be able to communice th design to the program leadership. •    Develop and implement new firmware, debug firmware to ensure it functions properly, evalue performance and troubleshoot as needed. •    Incorpore client feedback into firmware revisions, manage budgetary and time constraints. •    Keep the firmware team up-to-de on technological developments and industry best practices. •    Lead the design and development of innovive reconfigurable Software-Defined Radio (SDR) architectures, Sensor Systems, Da Acquisition, from Air/Space to Ground deployments for government agencies •    Analyze schemic diagrams for high-speed digital and/or analog circuitry in associed FPGA-centric systems.  •    Develop and maintain requirements documents, engineering drawings and configurion management policies for FPGA project hierarchy. •    Develop project test plans and test procedures, provide test planning support, and assist in the execution of both lab testing and field testing. •    Conduct experimental tests on lest FPGA and SoC evaluion boards, evalue results, and then develop specificions for selecting next-generion components for deliverable systems. •    Cree testbenches to accure simule designs in XSim, ModelSim, QuestaSim, etc •    Some travel and work remote sites for limited time periods may be occasionally required. •    Provide stus reports to project managers and/or division production manager as required.
