Collaborative effort with direct involvement in development and coding Building a Fantasy RPG Studio I am forming a new independent game studio focused on modern RPGs inspired by the golden era of 90s–2000s roleplaying games. The first project is a 3D isometric dark fantasy RPG featuring deep lore, tactical turn-based combat, and a strong narrative foundation. I am currently seeking a technical cofounder who specializes in Godot development and 3D asset creation in Blender to help build the first playable demo and establish the technical foundation of the studio. This is not a typical contract role - the goal is to find a long-term partner in building the studio and future titles. --- About the Project The initial milestone will be the development of a vertical slice gameplay demo demonstrating: - Core combat mechanics - Character systems and progression - A small playable environment - Key visual style and world tone This demo will be used to: - Showcase the game concept - Secure additional funding and partnerships - Establish the production pipeline for the full game --- About the Founder I am a tech entrepeneur with over a decade of experience in Cloud Computing, Software Development, and Project Management. I will be handling: - Game direction and design - Worldbuilding, story, and lore - Art direction and creative vision - Backend gameplay systems (combat systems, progression mechanics, scripting frameworks) - Project management and production planning - Funding, business development, marketing, and publishing strategy I will also be directly involved in development and coding. This will be a collaborative effort, not a situation where someone is simply hired to implement someone else's idea. --- Cofounder Role The cofounder will lead the technical implementation and visual asset creation, including: - Developing gameplay systems within Godot - Creating dark fantasy 3D assets and environments in Blender - Integrating models and environments into the game engine - Establishing technical pipelines for assets and scenes - Collaborating closely on gameplay implementation and iteration The ideal candidate enjoys working at the intersection of technical systems and artistic implementation. --- Ideal Background I'm looking for someone who has: - Experience with Godot engine development - Proficiency in Blender for 3D modeling - Interest in building gameplay systems and prototypes - A portfolio showing fantasy, stylized, or game-ready assets - A passion for RPG design and turn-based combat Applicants newer to the industry are absolutely welcome to apply.
