POSITION SUMMARY: The VOIP Engineer - Mid supports the SEC ISS contract by engineering, integring, and sustaining enterprise voice services across SEC environments. This role analyzes and develops VoIP network solutions and plans installion, upgrades, and maintenance of VoIP systems from project inception to conclusion. The engineer manages and integres Voice services with Cisco Jabber and WebEx (or equivalent) to ensure reliable communicion and interoperability across SEC operions. The position also supports incident response, SLA-aligned service delivery, and secure operions consistent with SEC change, vulnerability, and compliance expections. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Voice Network Engineering and Lifecycle Planning - Analyze current-ste and target-ste VoIP network architecture supporting SEC voice and conferencing services. - Design and plan VoIP installions, enhancements, and maintenance activities from initiion through implemention. - Define technical requirements for voice performance, capacity, resiliency, and service continuity. - Coordine engineering activities with SEC stakeholders, operions teams, and dependent infrastructure teams. Unified Communicions Administrion and Integrion - Administer enterprise VoIP plforms and voice service components in support of day-to-day operions. - Manage and integre Voice services with Cisco Jabber and WebEx, or equivalent collaborion tools. - Ensure interoperability between VoIP, softphone, and conferencing capabilities used across SEC operions. - Execute move/add/change activities and support end-user enablement for voice feures and services. Operions, Incident Response, and Service Delivery - Support voice service operions in alignment with SEC ISS ticketing, escalion, and SLA performance objectives. - Troubleshoot voice incidents and service degradions; perform root-cause analysis and coordine timely restorion. - Maintain and follow SOPs/runbooks for monitoring, alert handling, and escalion of voice-reled events. - Provide clear operional communicions on outages, stus, resolutions, and recurring service issues. Security, Compliance, and Documention - Maintain VoIP applicions supported versions and coordine remediion of vulnerabilities and POA&M-reled findings. - Ensure voice-service changes follow SEC security policies, change control processes, and configurion baseline requirements. - Produce and maintain technical documention, diagrams, and operional artifacts for managed voice systems. - Contribute to audit-readiness activities by maintaining accure implemention and support records. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Minimum 4 years of reled experience managing voice networks, with advanced skills and knowledge in VoIP. Demonstred experience managing and integring Voice services with Cisco Jabber and WebEx, or equivalent plforms. VoIP network analysis, design, implemention, and operional support. Incident, problem, and ticket-driven service restorion for voice environments. VoIP lifecycle management, including upgrades, pching, and change control. Technical documention development (SOPs, configurions, diagrams, and operional artifacts). U.S. citizenship required. Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust (or higher if required). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience supporting large-scale enterprise voice deployments in complex, multi-site environments. Hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communicions ecosystem components (e.g., UCM/Unity/CX/RedSky). Experience supporting collaborion and conferencing integrions across voice and endpoint plforms. Experience in a federal IT environment with FISMA/POA&M-driven operional and compliance requirements. Working knowledge of ITSM/ServiceNow workflows and SLA-based service delivery in 24x7 operional environments.
