Summary:
Seeking a licensed customs broker to review client entry summaries, verify HTS classifications, flag eligibility issues, and assist clients with ACE accounts on a flexible contract basis.

We're a trade consulting firm helping U.S. importers identify and claim IEEPA tariff refunds through CBP's CAPE process. We're looking for a licensed customs broker to join us on a flexible, per-project contract basis.
What you'll do:
•Review client entry summaries (CBP Form 7501) to identify refundable IEEPA tariff line items (e.g. 9903.01.25)
•Verify HTS classifications and confirm which charges are IEEPA vs. baseline tariff rates
•Cross-check our internal refund estimates against entry data
•Flag any eligibility issues (liquidation status, excluded goods, etc.)
•Assist clients with ACE account registration, setup, and troubleshooting as needed
•Occasionally advise on CAPE declaration prep and CBP compliance questions
What we're looking for:
•Active U.S. Customs Broker license
•Hands-on experience with entry summary review and HTS classification
•Prior experience working at or directly with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on import-related matters is a strong plus — particularly those with background in entry processing, trade compliance, or import operations
•Familiarity with IEEPA tariffs and the current CAPE refund process is a strong plus
•Proven experience with ACE portal navigation, importer account registration, and resolving ACE access issues
•Comfortable working remotely on a per-entry or hourly basis
Engagement: Flexible hours, contract/1099. Volume will grow as our client base scales — strong potential for ongoing work.
If you have a background in post-entry analysis or tariff classification and want flexible contract work in a fast-moving space, we'd love to talk.
