Keenan is committed to delivering innovive solutions th protect and empower the communities we serve.   As part of Gallagher, a global leader in insurance, risk management, and consulting, you’ll be joining a team th’s passione about helping individuals and organizions thrive.   The Senior Claims Examiner will be responsible for managing complex liability claims, employment & civil rights claims to their conclusion in the most cost-effective way possible for the client. In addition, the Sr. Claims Examiner will be responsible for recognizing claims involving coverage issues and bring to the Claims and Coverage Committees for referral to counsel. How you'll make an impact Manages the full life cycle of complex general liability claims in accordance with PLCA guidelines and client expections. Responsibilities include analyzing coverage, assigning and reviewing investigions, evaluing damages, and recommending settlement stregies. Prepares timely reports for reinsurers, JPAs, and Superpools, and maintains accure stistical da. Directs defense counsel, controls litigion costs, and tends mediions or settlement conferences as needed. Actively pursues subrogion opportunities and adjusts reserves based on claim developments. Drafts coverage letters, negoties settlements, and ensures compliance with stutory and ethical standards. Provides guidance to junior adjusters and supports client file reviews. Maintains a minimum billing productivity of 80% daily and performs other duties as assigned. About You Required: High school diploma and 7 years reled experience working within the applicable specialty claims area. Demonstred ability to handle unique/challenging claims issues a senior adjuster level. Appropriely licensed and/or certified in all stes in which claims are being handled or able to obtain the licenses/certificion per local requirements. Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices. Computer experience with reled claims and business software. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree highly preferred. 10 or more years of prior experience adjusting claims in applicable specialty area highly preferred. Behaviors: Ability to think critically, solve problems, plan and organize activities, serve clients, negotie, effectively communice verbally and in writing and embrace new challenges. Analytical skill necessary to make decisions and resolve issues inherent in handling of claims. Ability to successfully negotie the settlement and disposition of claims including the ability to interpret reled documention.
