Position Summary The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems for construction projects. This role ensures all work is performed in compliance with project specificions, contract requirements, applicable codes, and regulory standards. The QC Manager works closely with project management, field teams, subcontractors, and inspectors to deliver projects th meet or exceed quality expections. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage the Project Quality Control Plan (QCP). Ensure construction activities comply with contract documents, drawings, specificions, and applicable codes and standards. Conduct inspections, audits, and surveillance of construction activities and merials. Review submittals, shop drawings, merial certificions, and test reports for compliance. Coordine and oversee testing and inspection activities (internal and third-party). Identify non-conforming work, issue NCRs, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions. Maintain quality documention, including inspection reports, test results, and quality records. Interface with owners, engineers, inspectors, and regulory agencies regarding quality mters. Provide quality-reled training and guidance to project staff and subcontractors. Participe in project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiives. Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final quality documention. Qualificions Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a reled field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5–10 years of construction experience, with 3+ years in a quality control or quality assurance role. Strong knowledge of construction methods, merials, and industry standards. Familiarity with applicable building codes, safety regulions, and inspection/testing procedures. Experience working with subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specificions. Strong organizional, documention, and communicion skills. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in the field. Certified Construction Quality Manager (CQM-C), Professional Engineer (PE), ASQ Certificions (CQE, CQA), OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certificion (Preferred) Must be able to travel 80-100% of the time. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work on active construction sites in varying weher conditions. Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and inspect work in progress.
