Learn more at www.terralandscape.com. Position Overview Terra Landscape is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance accounts. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who enjoys building client relationships, mentoring teams, and delivering consistently high-quality landscapes. As an Area Manager, you’ll operate with a high level of autonomy while collaborating closely with supervisors, irrigation technicians, and leadership. You’ll take ownership of site performance, crew success, and client satisfaction—using strong horticultural knowledge, clear communication, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple commercial maintenance accounts and field crews. Partner with Supervisors to train, coach, and support crews in executing contractual scope of work. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients—conduct site walks, address concerns, and maintain strong long-term relationships. Proactively identify enhancement opportunities; prepare estimates and present improvement plans to clients. Develop and maintain regular site walkthrough schedules with clear task lists and priorities. Oversee the financial performance of assigned accounts, including budget adherence and P&L accountability. Implement and follow Terra Landscape’s annual horticultural and maintenance standards. Manage water efficiently through proactive irrigation monitoring, controller programming, and coordination with irrigation technicians. Coordinate daily site operations between crews, supervisors, and internal support teams. Ensure crews follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and training standards. Review labor hours and production to align with budgets and operational goals. Participate in weekly management meetings, field trainings, and company initiatives. Support hiring efforts by interviewing and helping onboard new team members. Qualifications Degree or certification in Landscape Horticulture (preferred) CLT, QWEL, CLCA Certified Water Management, ReScape Certified 2+ years managing commercial landscape maintenance accounts Proven experience leading field teams and client relationships Strong plant and horticultural knowledge (required) Familiarity with ReScape landscape principles, and understanding of IPM practices Irrigation troubleshooting and controller programming experience (preferred) Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills (English & Spanish required) Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and CRM / field management tools Valid California Driver’s License (must be insurable by company insurance)
