Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Hourly Rate: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour
Location: Millbrae, California; Onsite
Position Summary
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will support students within a school-based setting by providing behavioral assessments, intervention planning, and consultation services in alignment with student IEPs and educational goals. This role collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams, school staff, and families to promote positive behavioral outcomes and student success. The BCBA will also provide supervision and coaching to behavior support staff while ensuring compliance with educational and ethical standards. Responsibilities
Schedule / Shift
Shift details: School-year schedule, Monday–Friday
Hours per week: Full time
Contract length: 2026–2027 School Year
Key Duties
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Provide classroom-based coaching, training, and support to school staff and behavior support personnel
Collaborate with multidisciplinary IEP teams including special education teachers, school psychologists, and related service providers
Supervise and support RBTs and Behavior Interventionists to ensure quality implementation and professional growth
Monitor student progress through data collection, analysis, and ongoing revisions to behavior plans
Attend IEP meetings to present behavioral data and provide recommendations regarding services and goals
Provide crisis intervention support and consult on classroom behavior management strategies
Ensure compliance with BACB ethical standards and federal and state education guidelines
Requirements
Education
Required: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
Licenses & Certifications
Required: Current BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Skills
Previous school-based experience supporting students with autism, emotional disturbance, and developmental disabilities
Strong understanding of IDEA, FAPE, and IEP implementation within public school settings
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to travel between school sites within the district as needed
Ability to meet all district background and credentialing requirements
