Meat Wrappers are responsible for wrapping meat department products, maintaining attractive displays, rotating products, ensuring the sanitary handling of all meat products, and keeping the department clean and organized. Working under the direction of the Meat Manager, Meat Wrappers weigh and label products, stock meat cases, post signs, and help maintain a clean, full, fresh, and appealing meat department. As a Meat Wrapper, you will need: Well-developed product knowledge, including the variety and preparation of various cuts of meat and other meat department products. The ability to work independently with a strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in the meat industry. The ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. The ability and willingness to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. A current Food Handler Card.
