We specialize in scratch-made American comfort food with our own creative spin on the classics. We serve generous portions with bold flavors and feature creative daily specials for both lunch and dinner. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Head Chef to take full ownership of our kitchen. This is a leadership role for a dedicated professional who is passionate about scratch cooking and committed to the success of the restaurant. Key Responsibilities • Lead all kitchen operations for a 120-seat bar & grill serving lunch and dinner • Create and execute daily lunch and dinner specials • Develop and refine menu items with a creative spin on American classics • Manage food costs, inventory, ordering, and waste control • Hire, train, schedule, and lead the kitchen team • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness • Work closely with front-of-house management for smooth service • Standardize recipes and build efficient kitchen systems Qualifications • 5+ years of progressive kitchen experience in a high-volume restaurant • At least 2–3 years in a leadership role (Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Sous Chef) • Strong scratch-cooking skills and creativity with American comfort food • Proven track record of controlling food costs • Excellent leadership and team-building skills • ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain immediately) • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays The Right Candidate We highly value dedication and reliability. What We Offer • Salary Range: $62,000 – $82,000+ per year (base + bonuses) • Salary is open for discussion based on experience • 401K plan • Paid vacation • Daily employee meals • Early closing hours – Restaurant closes at 9PM • Creative input on menu and daily specials • Supportive ownership team Bonus Opportunity Strong performers can earn an additional $15,000 – $30,000+ per year through our quarterly and annual bonus program.
