Through our programs—Home Care Services, Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels, and Healthy Ages—we provide vital services that support independence, health, and well-being throughout our communities. Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels is currently seeking a Café Site Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Meals on Wheels Café in Richland. This position serves as the designated Person-In-Charge (PIC) and ensures compliance with Washington State Food Code requirements while providing exceptional service to participants, volunteers, and the community. Key Responsibilities: Supervise meal setup, service, and cleanup. Ensure timely meal preparation and assembly of supplies, dishes, utensils, and food service items. Oversee and coordinate volunteers during meal service and home-delivered meal operations. Schedule volunteer shifts to ensure efficient daily operations. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and Washington State Food Code requirements. Maintain accurate records, including food safety reports, volunteer hours, and bank deposits. Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment for participants and guests. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper cleaning and sanitation procedures. Perform administrative duties, including phone calls, follow-up communication, and documentation. Attend required meetings and training. Maintain confidentiality of participant, staff, volunteer, and organizational information. Qualifications: Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid Washington State Driver’s License required. Washington State Food Handler’s Card required or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire. Experience & Skills: Food service experience preferred, including food preparation, operation of food service equipment, and health and sanitation standards. Supervisory experience preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, email, and basic computer applications. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively while exercising sound judgment and attention to detail. Ability to lead and supervise volunteers effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Commitment to teamwork, reliability, flexibility, and excellent customer service.
