Late Diagnosed AuDHD Group (?)
Description
I’m considering starting a group for late diagnosed AuDHD/ASD1/ADD/ADHD adults. It can be difficult to meet people as neurodivergent, older people, and I’m gauging interest in starting a support/activity group. I realize that there are support groups that exist, but I have yet to find a local place to interact with people in person. I feel that especially during these trying times in the world, it is important to connect with people in real life and build a supportive community. Inclusivity, safety, and exploration is the goal! About me: Late 40s F (she/her), late diagnosed, newer to the Bellingham area (2 years), remote worker Initial Thoughts *Ages 35-60 [flexible - I don’t like excluding people] *Activities [very open to ideas - just listing a few below] Local Events Rock Hunting Light Hikes / Nature Exploration Arts / Crafts Cocktails Music Shows Game Night Self Exploration Community Outreach Dancing Watch Parties Volunteering Just Hanging Out *Timing Once a month or more frequently depending on desire and events. If this is something you would be interested in participating in, please respond to this and let me know. I’d love to hear your thoughts and get more ideas. I’ll keep this up through Friday, June 19th and assess the interest at that time. If there is enough interest, it will be a “GO”. If not enough people are interested, I’ll let responders know that as well. Email or phone # would be helpful, but that can be gathered at a later time. I would also be looking for a person to help me coordinate and manage the group, since I’ve never done anything like this! I look forward to responses and feedback! Thank you for your time and consideration.
