The Assistant Store Manager is a key driver of sales and customer satisfaction within our retail stores. Responsible for shaping a comprehensive store strategy aligned with our corporate values and mission, the individual oversees operational aspects including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and visual merchandising. The ASM actively collaborates to achieve store objectives and facilitates team development. The employees’ weekly hours will be adjusted to 32 or fewer as per business needs. Responsibilities: Achieve personal and store sales goals, setting a positive example for the team and fostering the development of sales skills among team members. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to enhance revenue, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while maintaining key performance indicators. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by promptly identifying customer needs and addressing concerns, if raised. Display a comprehensive understanding of store merchandise, pricing models, and familiarity with the sales floor and stockroom layout. Uphold high standards of housekeeping and visual merchandising to create an inviting store environment. Utilize proficiency in various computer systems and applications, including POS, CRM systems, and inventory management tools. Implement the store's inventory security measures, adhering to the company’s loss prevention program. Adhere to all operational policies and procedures outlined by the store, ensuring smooth and secure operation. Requirements Prior retail management experience, ideally with 1+ years in Assistant Manager responsibilities. A results-oriented individual with a strong sales focus, capable of leading and coaching team members towards success. Possess a positive, high-energy, friendly, and engaging personality; willingness to initiate customer interactions and guide them through the store. Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interactions with customers and corporate partners. Proficient with technology, including the ability to operate retail POS systems, Microsoft Office, email, etc. Ability to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds when merchandising the sales floor. Assistant Branch Manager - We're Looking for Candidates with a Background in Big Box Company Location: Milwaukee, WI Compensation: $65K and Fantastic Benefits! Position Summary: Ensure efficient operation of the Branch to ensure customer satisfaction and projected bottom line profit. Manages personnel issues and supervision. Maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient customer service. Maintains company standards by ensuring employees are aware of expectations, are properly trained and are held accountable for their actions. Essential Functions: General operations of the Branch. Develops strong business relationships with customers by maintaining open communication with customers, and by quickly and effectively resolving problems Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures including but not limited to safety (HACCP, OSHA) personnel, security, pest control and shrink control. Reviews financial and operational reports and takes necessary actions based on report results. Directs subordinates to ensure timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations including safety, sanitation, shelf labels, inventory, merchandising, receiving, stocking, stacking position, order pulling, shipping and in store customer service. Defines the service standards and the operational mission of the branch, communicates it to the employees and monitors activities in order to meet the goals of the branch. Maximizes all sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service by ensuring proper scheduling of the workforce while meeting budgetary guidelines. Manages selection, annual performance appraisals and professional development of all Management level personnel. Directly supervises and manages department managers. Coaches managers on employee relation issues such as new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions and any disciplinary action including termination. Maintains communication with the Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations. Reviews inventory on a regular basis to ensure that the inventory is correct and the products are in-house Completes and processes necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely. Other Responsibilities: Assumes special projects and responsibilities as required. Education, Experience and Skills Required: Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required), Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box or mass merchandising environment. Background in P&L, Inventory control, merchandising, hiring / training staff, front end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security / loss prevention mandatory. Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high volume warehouse operation. Must have excellent communication, organizational and people management / training skills and be extremely customer service oriented. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation. Must have backing in big box, food service, or food retail. Work Environment: For the most part the ambient temperature will be moderate, there are areas that are cold such as the Freezer and hot suchas the Damages area. The work is mostly performed standing/walking – must be able to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break. Physical labor is infrequent but there may be times when merchandise may need to be moved or an area cleaned. There will be industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) moving material throughout the warehouse. Salary: 65K plus bonus and benefits! The 2nd Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting with management of contract compliance for designated building maintenance services, as well as maintaining the relationship between City Wide and Independent Contractors. Employee must possess the ability to review the client contract and check that work expectations have been met. The work week is Monday-Friday. The shift typically starts at 3:30pm and ends at 12am. What You will Do in this Role: Develop and maintain productive, working relationships with Independent Contractors (IC) by communicating client priorities and collaborating on solving problems. Review scope of work and ensure quality assurance per account to retain existing business and gain new business. Communicate with Facility Services Manager (FSM) daily for any issues that need immediate attention, including the nightly recap via email or phone message. Make recommendations for IC work assignments, manage to client standards and company guidelines and discharge if not meeting service level agreement. Manage inspections, customer complaints, customer requests, new client starts, or accounts needing attention. Execute City Wide’s New-Start Policy, Customer Compliant Policy, and other operational policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with client policies & procedures, approved cleaning tools and equipment and their proper use. Update CRM at each account with proper documentation Other duties as necessary. Requirements High school diploma required or equivalent experience in commercial janitorial services industry. 6 months of related experience in management; coaching, motivating, developing, and leading a team Energetic, hard-working, dependable, detail-oriented with a willing to learn attitude. Building, facilities, janitorial or similar industry experience is desired Strong planning, organization skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willing to have difficult conversations when necessary. Must be innovative and strive for continuous process improvement. CRM experience preferred.
