OXARC is headquartered in Spokane, Washington with 23 stores in WA, ID and OR. Job Summary: Provide counter/store service to customers via in-person, phone, and fax. Sell steel, industrial and other supplies to customers. Ensure all customer needs are met in a timely manner. Act as a back-up driver (Driver Rate will be $30/hr when driving). Duties include: • Ensure that all internal and external customers and co-workers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining the highest standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of a ‘Customer is Number 1’ environment. • Open and close store. • Assist with daily paperwork (cash reports), filing, preparing packets, answer invoice questions. • Enter weekly stock order. Receive stock transfers • Be available to perform route sales and deliveries when the regular route sales driver is unavailable. • Notify client when orders are ready for pick-up; return orders to stock as required, notify customer when back-orders are in, etc. • Put away empty cylinders from the dock. • Assist with weekly freight. Requirements include: • 2 years customer service. • Class B CDL driver’s license with a Hazmat Endorsement. • 1 year industry experience a plus. • Fabrication and/or construction experience & Steel knowledge is a plus. • Understanding of welding terminology and equipment a plus. • Must be alert to surroundings and have the ability to plan ahead and anticipate customer needs. • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision. • Effective oral and written communication skills. • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use. • Must pass a Drug screen, DOT physical and background check. Salary Range: Expected hiring salary is $20.00/hr. &$30.00/hr. When driving. The salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary for this position which is $20.00/hr.-$29.50/hr.
