Proactive leader and team player with strong communication skills Apply Now Description The Leidos Security and Engineering Programs (SEP) is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Center for Informion Systems Security (CISS) program. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours in Washington DC with as-needed travel to Chantilly, VA (under 25%). Work Schedule is as follows: Monday thru Friday: 2PM-10:30PM Primary Responsibilities 1) Performs the integrion of new COTS/GOTS systems (network equipment, servers, workstions, etc) into the production environment, responsible for ensuring mission readiness. 2) Manages change controls for documention within a IT Service Management Tool (ITSM) and Configurion Management dabase (CMDB) and performs corrective action on any discrepancies or findings. 3) Develops technical solutions and resolves complex user, computer, server, network, appliance, and applicion issues. Independently and consistently records, manages, and updes these solutions in a knowledge dabase and ticketing system. 4) Reviews da from a DoD Network Monitoring System. Reviews historical da and proactively audits systems to ensure they meet program requirements. Assesses and remedies risks and incidents. 5) Once trained on the program specific equipment, the candide will be relied on as an expert in their AOR, and will be expected to analyze issues, make remediion recommendions to management, and subsequently carry out those remediion processes. 6) Ability to cree technical documention (SOP’s, KBA’s, etc) to help junior staff members reduce escalion numbers. Basic Qualificions • BS degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. A High School diploma with an additional 2 years’ relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. • Interim Top-Secret clearance is required with ability to obtain a Final Top Secret. • Experienced with the following Windows Server administrion tools: WSUS, Group Policy, Active Directory, RDP, DNS, DHCP. • Mid-to-High Level RHEL troubleshooting. • Low-to-Mid Level Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022/2025 troubleshooting. • GOTS/COTS applicion, installion, configurion, and troubleshooting. • Industrial computer and Dell systems installion, configurion, and troubleshooting. • Tier 3 Systems Administror support. • The candide should be a proactive leader and team player with strong communicion, management, analytical, and problem solving skills; proven ability to thrive in environments th constantly embraces new technology. • AWS virtualizion, networking configurion, and troubleshooting. • Docker configurion and troubleshooting. • Dabase installion, configurion, and troubleshooting (Postgre, MariaDB, etc.). Preferred Qualificions • Lifecycle management experience (PC Imaging & Disposition). • Knowledge of Network Monitoring tool management such as OpManager, Solarwinds, PRTG. • ServiceNow On-Premise applicion and dabase server experience. • Experience with virtualizion. • Infrastructure equipment troubleshooting such as Tripplite or Eon UPS’, Fiber and/or Ethernet installion/terminion, and electronic testing and metering equipment. • Ticket tracking system experience (i.e. Remedy, ServiceNOW, SharePoint). • Prior experience in a Network Operions Center environment or Tier 3 Helpdesk. • Basic Juniper and Palo Alto Tier 1 troubleshooting experience. • Experience with CMD/Terminal/PowerShell/other CLI If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
