Job Summary The Bindery & Packaging Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining bindery and packaging equipment to produce finished printed products according to job specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Operate bindery and packaging equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, perfect binders, die cutters, gluers, shrink-wrappers, and mailing equipment • Set up machines for various job requirements and adjust settings for optimal performance • Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment • Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production schedules • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area • Meet production deadlines while minimizing waste • Follow all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications • Previous experience in a print shop, bindery, or packaging environment is preferred but not mandatory • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn and operate industrial machinery • Attention to detail and strong quality-control skills • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods • Basic math, reading, and measurement skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills • Experience with mailing, fulfillment, or automated packaging systems • Knowledge of print finishing processes and materials Benefits • Competitive pay based on experience • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off and holidays How to Apply Please submit your resume or work history to billd@qualitypress.com or apply in person at 222 S.
