Potential for occasional delivery driving with higher pay Nursery production workers wanted for small wholesale aquatic (pond) plant nursery in Exeter, California. Full time, seasonal year-round outside work, which may progress to permanent year-round work. Speaking both Spanish and English is very helpful but not required. Duties include: Dividing, potting, and fertilizing plants Loading trucks with plants for deliveries Weed control General nursery duties This position requires a physically fit, fast paced person. Preference will be given to applicants who can also act as an occasional back-up driver to our regular driver, making some local deliveries plus occasional out of town or out of state deliveries to multiple customers--a completely clean driving record would be required for this (our insurance company checks). Able to lift 100 pounds; strenuous hand unloading required. A commercial drivers license is not required, but experience with medium sized trucks is a plus (our truck is a Hino automatic, with a 24' box and a maximum gross vehicle weight of 26,000 ponds). A driver must be capable of reading, writing, and comprehending English, and must have moderate math skills. Making overnight out-of-town deliveries will be at a higher rate of pay, depending on driving experience.
