Discovery Ranch, a residential treatment center for boys ages 13-18, is seeking a dedicated Secondary Math Teacher to join our team. Responsibilities Teach secondary math classes, including Algebra, Geometry, and other basic/advance math, to students in grades 7-12. Design and implement lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of our students. Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students. Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement an integrated curriculum. Provide individualized support and instruction to students who may be struggling academically. Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student success and well-being. Part-time | 2-3 nights a week | 3-8:30 pm | $19-22/hour DOE Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field. Valid Utah teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics Previous experience teaching secondary math. Knowledge of current teaching strategies and best practices in mathematics education. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues. Ability to effectively communicate complex mathematical concepts in a clear and understandable way. Passion for working with adolescent students and a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
