Consistent year-round work Job Summary Next Level Utilities and Excavating is a small, family-owned company that specializes in underground utilities and excavation performing a large range of jobs in the KC Metro area. We are currently seeking a skilled laborer. A laborer assists with various labor-related tasks including, but not limited to, excavation, hand-digging with a shovel, pipe installation, structure setting jackhammering, saw cutting, moving materials, grading and leveling ground, installing concrete collars and inverts, cleaning up the job site and more. Duties Assists with digging, trenching, installing pipe and storm boxes, backfill, etc. Maintain a safe and clean job site Load, unload and transport materials and equipment Operate and support operation of tools and machinery (e.g. Compactors, pipe lasers, shovels) Follow directions from foremen and operators Adhere to safety protocols and standards Put up and take down fence, pump water / dewater jobsite, saw-cut concrete, etc. Experience operating various excavation equipment including mini-excavators, backhoes, drilling/boring machines, jackhammers, and concrete saws is preferred but not a requirement Valid driver’s license and good driving record, may drive various company vehicles on occasion Performs other duties, as needed and when assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license with good driving record; reliable transportation is a must Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, stand, and work on your feet for long periods Must be able to dig/excavate for long periods Ability to work in all types of weather and conditions i.e. Muddy, wet, cold, rain, snow, temps below freezing, and temps above 100 degrees for extended periods of time.
