We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.  Our Diabetes division currently has an opportunity for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test #software  Wh You'll Do Complete software testing activities for user stories within the Agile SDLC by writing automed tests and contributing directly to automion coverage. This role is almost entirely hands‑on coding. Review deliverables/activities identified in test plans for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance. Write additional automed tests as needed to ensure full coverage for every release. Develop and Optimize Automion Scripts and Frameworks: Design, code, and maintain automion scripts and frameworks using Python (or another modern programming language). Work with automion tools such as Appium, Selenium, and Robot. Spend the majority of your day writing code and building scalable automion solutions. Automion of Testing Processes: Build automed frameworks for unit, integrion, UI, and mobile testing. Perform explorory testing only as needed to inform automion. Cree test dasets and execute automed test suites to ensure high‑quality releases. Automion Solutions Customizion: Adapt automion frameworks to meet regulory and product‑specific requirements in the medical industry. Maintenance and Enhancement of Automed Systems: Continuously improve automion frameworks and test suites. Identify and implement opportunities to replace manual testing with automion. Collaborion and Technical Leadership: Work closely with developers and QA team members to integre automion into the development lifecycle. Provide technical guidance when needed, but this is not a lead or managerial role. Technical Documention and System Documention: Produce clear, concise documention for automed tests, frameworks, and processes. Ensure documention meets regulory and compliance requirements. Required Qualificions Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline 5+ years’ experience in Software Testing and/or Software Quality Assurance 5+ years’ experience working as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with recent, hands‑on automion coding 4–6 years of hands‑on coding experience in Python (or similar modern programming language) Must be technically strong and have experience testing mobile applicions Must have UI or API automion experience; mobile automion with Appium is a major plus Must have excellent oral and written communicion skills Preferred Qualificions Computer Science degree strongly preferred Experience working in a reguled industry Medical Device experience strongly preferred Experience in an agile development environment Cyber security, medical mobile applicions, or cloud computing experience Apply Now Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:  www.abbottbenefits.com Follow your career aspirions to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company th can help you build your future and live your best life.
