The platform runs on WordPress, WooCommerce, and Dokan Pro, and we’re looking for a sharp part-time developer to grow with us on a retainer basis. www.turnpikestore.com What You’ll Be Doing • Modifying and extending existing WordPress plugins (hooks, filters, custom functionality — not rebuilding from scratch) • Custom PHP development within a WooCommerce/Dokan Pro multi-vendor environment • Debugging and resolving issues across the stack — SMTP, checkout flows, user roles, gating logic • Light WP Engine deployment work (staging → production pushes, environment hygiene) • Collaborating directly with the founder — you’ll have context, not just tickets You’re a Fit If • You know WordPress internals well enough to be dangerous — hooks, filters, the loop, custom post types • You’ve worked inside WooCommerce or a multi-vendor plugin before (Dokan experience is a serious plus) • You write clean, documented PHP and know when NOT to modify core • You’re US-based and responsive — async is fine, but we move fast • Austin local? Even better. Engagement Part-time retainer, ongoing. Hours flex with project load — typically 10–20 hrs/month to start.
