Focus on detailed technical review and problem-solving Position Summary The Industrial Estimator is responsible for receiving RFQs from the Sales team, developing accurate estimates, and managing project data within internal systems. This role ensures all opportunities are properly defined, priced, and entered into the CRM, and that incoming work aligns with the original estimate. The position serves as a control point between Sales and Production, maintaining alignment between quoted scope and actual work, and ensuring all projects are accurate, structured, and ready for execution. Key Responsibilities •Review RFQs from the Sales team to verify defined scope, quantities, and specifications, confirm alignment with company capabilities, and identify any missing information prior to estimate development •Develop estimates based on defined scope, geometry, coating requirements, and process considerations •Drive resolution of missing or inconsistent information before finalizing estimates •Translate estimates into structured project records within the CRM/ERP system, ensuring accuracy and consistency of all data •Maintain estimate revisions and ensure traceability between RFQ, estimate, and order •Validate incoming work against the defined scope to ensure alignment between quoted and actual conditions Identify and resolve discrepancies that impact cost, process, or execution •Ensure all projects are fully defined, documented, and ready for production without reliance on assumptions Qualifications •Experience in estimating, manufacturing, or industrial services •Ability to interpret drawings and technical requirements •Ability to calculate surface area from drawings, dimensions, and part geometry for the purpose of determining coating requirements and cost •Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving ability •Experience working within CRM/ERP systems •Ability to manage multiple priorities in a process-driven environment Core Focus •Scope definition and accuracy •Estimate accuracy •Data integrity within internal systems •Alignment between quoted work and executed work Role Alignment •Sales: develops and submits qualified opportunities •Estimating: defines, prices, and validates work for execution Fit for the Role This role is best suited for individuals who are highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working with technical information and calculations.
