Focus on installing and terminating CAT6 data cabling Velocity Network Solutions is looking for a reliable, hardworking Low Voltage Technician / Cabling Helper to join our team. We currently have multiple jobs in progress and are looking for someone who can start immediately. We’re open to both experienced low-voltage technicians and motivated helpers who have some construction, electrical, or cabling experience and want to learn. Pay: $18–$28/hour DOE What you’ll be doing: * Run and install CAT6/data cabling in commercial environments * Terminate CAT6 and install keystone jacks, patch panels, etc. * Install cable support, J-hooks, and pathways * Label, organize, and dress cabling * Install and mount network cabinets/racks * Work in both office and warehouse environments * Safely operate and work from scissor lifts * Pull cable through ceilings, walls, and other pathways * Assist with cable testing and troubleshooting * Load/unload materials and keep job sites clean and organized * Work alongside our lead technicians to complete projects on schedule What we’re looking for: * Previous low-voltage, electrical, telecommunications, or construction experience preferred * Ability to run and terminate CAT6 cable is a major plus * Comfortable working from ladders and scissor lifts * Comfortable working in office, warehouse, and commercial construction environments * Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license * Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed * Good attention to detail and pride in your work * Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team * Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities Experience levels welcome: If you’re already an experienced low-voltage technician, we’re interested. If you’re a construction/electrical helper who wants to learn structured cabling, we’re interested in you as well.
