Repair and installation of diverse industrial machinery Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour Job description: Job Summary Machine Operator I assists Machine Operator II and Line Leaders in line setup, repairs, part replacement, adjustments, and preventive maintenance of filling and packaging equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Follows safety precautions to prevent product contamination and injury to self or others. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Assists Line Leaders in repairs, part replacement, adjustments, and preventive maintenance of filling and packaging equipment per GMP and safety regulations. Complies with all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) (ensuring machinery is powered off before performing maintenance or repairs), hot work, confined space entry, industrial machinery operation, etc. Repairs, installs, and adjusts industrial machinery such as sprayers, mixers, powder presses, conveyors, lasers, inkjet printers, labelers, and packagers. Performs or assists in daily scheduled production line setups per product and customer specifications; this may include weight, torque, labeling, coding, or any machinery required for assembly and packaging of finished products. Performs routine preventive maintenance. Disassembles filling equipment for cleaning and sanitization, and reassembles it once cleaned, sanitized, and passed quality control (QC) testing. Records any mechanical adjustments made to filling equipment in the corresponding cleaning, maintenance, and equipment usage logs. Cleans equipment as needed. Focuses on safety by ensuring machinery is powered off using the emergency stop (E-Stop) button before cleaning or maintenance, and avoids placing hands into moving equipment. Required Technical Skills Attention to detail. Basic math skills. Teamwork and strong communication skills. Willingness to learn and improve. Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment. Ability to read and write in English. Required Experience High school diploma or GED. Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, grip, kneel, twist, and stoop repeatedly. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and handle drums weighing up to 500 pounds regularly. Frequent exposure to variable temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, electricity, chemicals, and vibrations. Prolonged use of computer screens. This is 2nd shift position M-F 4pm-4:30am and it pays $16-$17/hr with overtime potential. THERE IS NO WEEK IN THE HOLE!!
