Work within a small team setting EcoChem, Inc. is a specialized Seattle-based environmental consulting firm seeking a talented chemist/scientist with the requisite training and experience to validate laboratory analytical data. This is a multi-faceted position that does not involve laboratory work. The following responsibilities are associated with this associate-level position: • Perform review and validation of organic and inorganic analytical data • Perform primary validation of analytical data and verification of data validation reports and other non-validation chemistry reports • Evaluate and document data quality • Develop written technical assessments • Perform data entry and data management • Perform other project tasks as assigned The position requires attention to detail and a desire to perform within a small team setting. The following qualifications are ESSENTIAL: • Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry or related science • Knowledge of USEPA and other environmental analytical methods • Knowledge of data review guidelines • Strong written and oral communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database queries The following qualifications are DESIRABLE: • Working knowledge of inorganic and organic laboratory analysis of environmental samples • Laboratory experience including data analysis, calculations, QA/QC, and data reporting • At least one (1) year of relevant experience EcoChem, Inc. offers a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, and disability insurance; a SIMPLE IRA plan with an employer match; and a flexible spending program.
