Lead event planning and coordination for impactful programs Position Overview United Housing Resources (UHR) is seeking a highly motivated and community-driven Community Outreach & Program Coordinator to support our mission of expanding homeownership opportunities for underserved communities. This role combines community engagement, event coordination, program support, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, people-focused, and passionate about helping individuals and families achieve homeownership. Key Responsibilities 1. Community Outreach & Engagement Build and maintain relationships with diverse and multicultural communities. Introduce UHR programs through community events, workshops, and presentations. Represent UHR at community meetings, partner events, and public forums. Develop partnerships with nonprofit organizations, lenders, and community groups. 2. Event Planning & Coordination Plan, organize, and execute outreach events, homebuyer workshops, and seminars. Coordinate logistics including venue, materials, marketing, and attendance tracking. Ensure events are engaging, professional, and aligned with UHR’s mission. 3. Program & Transaction Support Communicate effectively with project managers, loan officers, escrow officers, and title companies. Assist with tracking applicants and ensuring timely communication across all parties. Maintain organized records and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant. Support follow-up processes with applicants and partners. 4. Board & Administrative Support Schedule and coordinate board meetings. Prepare agendas, meeting notices, and follow-up communications. Assist with general administrative and operational tasks as needed. 5. Marketing & Social Media Support social media campaigns and online engagement. Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials. Promote events and UHR programs across multiple platforms. Help maintain UHR’s brand presence in the community. 6. Public Speaking & Representation Deliver presentations about UHR programs to community groups and partners. Clearly communicate UHR’s mission, services, and impact. Serve as a confident and professional ambassador of the organization. 7. Collaboration & Networking Work closely with nonprofit partners, lenders, and housing organizations. Build referral networks to increase program participation. Strengthen UHR’s presence within the housing ecosystem. Qualifications Experience in community outreach, nonprofit work, housing programs, or real estate preferred. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Comfortable with public speaking and presentations. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Proficient in basic technology (email, spreadsheets, CRM systems, social media). Self-motivated and able to work independently. Preferred Qualifications Background in housing counseling, mortgage, real estate, or nonprofit programs. Experience working with underserved or multicultural communities. Bilingual or multilingual abilities (highly desirable). Event planning or coordination experience.
