Power Labor is actively hiring experienced electricians and electric groundmen for ongoing projects in and around Port Clinton, Ohio. These are civil and heavy highway electrical projects, not typical residential or commercial electrical work. If you have experience working outdoors, around equipment, in utility environments, or on road/highway infrastructure projects, this is an excellent opportunity for steady work with a growing team. What Makes This Role Different This work is more physically demanding and labor-intensive than traditional electrical contractor jobs. Projects may include: Roadway lighting systems Underground utilities Traffic signal systems Power infrastructure Heavy civil electrical work Responsibilities Assist journeyman electricians and linemen with tools, materials, conduit, cable, and equipment Dig holes for poles and excavate trenches for underground cabling Install roadway lighting, traffic signals, and electrical infrastructure Use hand and power tools including jackhammers, roto hammers, saws, and chainsaws Load/unload materials and maintain organized job sites Set up barricades, traffic control devices, and maintain safe work zones Help direct traffic around active work areas when needed Notify residents or businesses of scheduled outages or disruptions Perform site cleanup and general labor duties as required Requirements Previous electrical experience required Civil, utility, roadway, or heavy highway experience strongly preferred Must have own electrical tools Must have required PPE Must pass pre-employment drug screen Must pass background screen Must have clean driving record Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor daily Experience using hand and power tools Reliable transportation Strong safety mindset and ability to work in active construction zones OSHA certification is a plus Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Apply Now We are hiring immediately and need qualified candidates ready to start soon.
