There was a time in history when we had something called Election Day. Everybody went to the polls on the same day and businesses gave their employees a couple of hours off work to vote. The voters showed up in person, presented their valid I. D. and voted. The votes were counted that evening and we knew the results by the next morning. These ancient times were about 10 years ago.
