Accelerating the pace of life sciences research and development Benchling, Inc., in San Francisco, CA seeks multiple Software Engineer(s) Responsibilities: Responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining the data warehouse infrastructure for biotech research scientists. Duties include: designing and architecting resilient API’s, user interfaces, services, and frameworks for analysis platform; building key pieces of products to accelerate the pace of life sciences research and development; collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Customer Experience; Developing and Scaling the ObjectSync Pipeline; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in San Francisco, CA. Salary range: $207,000 - $230,000. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent). Requirements: 4 years of experience in the job offered or related. Special skills required: 4 years of experience working with Java, Node.js, Ruby, Python, and SQL; 4 years of experience working with MySQL or Git as data management systems; 4 years of experience owning projects end-to-end, from initial design, to prototype, to large-scale rollout; and 4 years of experience working with data storage and formatting systems like PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and Parquet.
