Collaborating with machine learning researchers Scale AI, Inc. in San Francisco, CA seeks Software Engineer Responsibilities: Responsible for building Scale AI’s Model Serving Platform as part of the Machine Learning Infrastructure team. Specific duties include: developing re-usable platforms for running in-house and open source LLM-benchmarks; create highly available, observable, performance, and cost-effective APIs for orchestrating post-training and model evaluation tasks; performing complex research and working across backend system design, infrastructure and large scale system design to diagnose both model performance and system failures; collaborating with machine learning researchers to understand their requirements and apply own domain expertise and Scale AI’s compute resources to accelerate experimentation throughout; participating in our team’s on call process to ensure the availability of our services and to identify opportunities for improvement across current and upcoming product lines; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in San Francisco, CA. Salary Range: $185,000-$225,000. Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent). Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related; 2 years of experience working with Java, Ruby, Python, or similar programming languages; 2 years of experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or similar data management systems; 2 years of experience working with client/server architectures and application architectures; and 2 years of experience working with distributed codebases on cross-functional teams.
