Summary: Benchling, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, test, and maintain data warehouse infrastructure for biotech research, focusing on resilient APIs, user interfaces, services, and frameworks. Building key products to accelerate life sciences research and development Benchling, Inc., in San Francisco, CA seeks multiple Software Engineer(s) Responsibilities: Responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining the data warehouse infrastructure for biotech research scientists. Duties include: designing and architecting resilient API’s, user interfaces, services, and frameworks for analysis platform; building key pieces of products to accelerate the pace of life sciences research and development; collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Customer Experience; Developing and Scaling the ObjectSync Pipeline; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in San Francisco, CA. Salary range: $207,000 - $230,000. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent). Requirements: 4 years of experience in the job offered or related. Special skills required: 4 years of experience working with Java, Node.js, Ruby, Python, and SQL; 4 years of experience working with MySQL or Git as data management systems; 4 years of experience owning projects end-to-end, from initial design, to prototype, to large-scale rollout; and 4 years of experience working with data storage and formatting systems like PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and Parquet.
