The crusher operator is responsible for operating and maintaining crushing equipment, ensuring efficient production and safety in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities • Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor crushing equipment, including crusher, grinder, conveyor & excavator to ensure efficient production of materials. • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. • Material Management: Manage the flow of materials, including loading and unloading, and ensure the correct types and sizes of materials are processed. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment, including conducting safety checks and reporting hazards. • Record Keeping: Complete necessary paperwork, including daily logs, production reports and equipment inspection reports. Required Skills and Qualifications • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent if preferred; additional training in heavy machinery operation is a plus. • Experience: Two (2) years’ previous experience as a crusher operator or in a similar role is required. • Technical Skills: Knowledge of crushing equipment and processes, as well as the ability to trouble shoot mechanical issues. • Physical Stamina: The role requires physical strength and stamina, as it involves manual labor and working in various weather conditions. • Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality output. Working Conditions • Crusher operators typically work in outdoor environments, often in remote locations. The job may involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. Operators may work in shifts, including nights and weekends, depending on the operational needs of the site. • Travel is required throughout the Pacific Northwest Salary Expectations • This is a non-exempt hourly position.
