Opportunity to join a fast-moving business environment Location: Remote BUT must reside within 30 minutes of Citrus Heights, CA Employment Type: Part-Time, 20 hours per week (Potential for Full-Time Based on Performance) Prestwood IT, www.prestwood.com, is seeking a highly capable JavaScript Programmer with strong React experience to join our team. This is not an entry-level training position. You will work somewhat independently in your day-to-day responsibilities; however, major technical decisions and scope changes are finalized by leadership. Clear communication, documentation, and follow-through are required. This role is remote-first; however, candidates must live within 30 minutes of Citrus Heights, CA to attend occasional in-person strategy meetings at our corporate office. You will report directly to the Owner and will be expected to contribute not just code – but also to deliver thoughtful technical input and execution discipline. A professional attitude and clear communication skills are required. Required Qualifications: -Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) -Solid experience building applications using React -Experience with React Hooks and modern state management -Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs -Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles -Familiarity with version control systems (Git) -Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize front-end performance -Experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines -GitHub profile required – must include meaningful project history Preferred Qualifications: -Experience with TypeScript -Familiarity with backend integrations (Node.js or similar) -Experience deploying applications to cloud environments -Prior experience working in a small, fast-moving business environment Applicants without a GitHub portfolio demonstrating real-world React work will not be considered.
