Location: Sparks, NV Employment Type: Full-Time About Us We're a premier provider of erosion control, SWPPP compliance, environmental construction, and street sweeping services throughout Nevada. With a rapidly growing fleet and expanding operations, EPS is seeking a highly organized, hands-on Shop Manager to lead and oversee all shop, fleet, equipment, and procurement functions for the Northern Nevada operation. This position is critical to the efficiency and safety of our field operations and plays a central role in supporting our Northern Nevada teams. Position Overview The Shop Manager will be responsible for managing daily shop operations, overseeing company vehicles and equipment, managing all procurement for the company, vendor relations and ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are implemented and followed. This role requires strong leadership, mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to streamline processes across locations. We are seeking someone proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of running a high-performing shop with accountability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Shop & Fleet Management Oversee day-to-day shop operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized working environment. Manage and track the entire company fleet (trucks, sweepers, trailers, water trucks, and small equipment). Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance for all vehicles and equipment. Coordinate repairs, warranty work, vendor scheduling, and parts ordering. Manage fleet compliance requirements. Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, consumables, and materials. Procurement & Vendor Management Serve as the primary procurement lead for materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. Maintain vendor relationships to ensure best pricing, reliable delivery, and accurate invoicing. Track purchase orders and reconcile procurement with project needs. Support field teams with timely procurement to maintain workflow. Leadership & Operational Support Lead and supervise shop personnel, mechanics, or labor support as needed. Coordinate with Dispatch, Project Managers, and Field Supervisors to support operational needs. Maintain fleet and equipment logs, maintenance records, warranty documents, and asset tracking. Participate in capital expenditure planning, and cost-control initiatives. Identify gaps and inefficiencies and develop standardized processes for fleet and shop operations. Qualifications Required: 3+ years of experience in fleet management, shop management, or equipment operations. Strong mechanical knowledge (diesel, small engines, hydraulics, or heavy equipment preferred). Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; ability to maintain logs and reporting. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus but not required). Preferred: Experience in construction, environmental services, sweeping, or erosion control industries. Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor negotiations, and inventory management.
